Sarah Stubblefield

Sarah started at School of Rock Edmond in May of 2023, but began her musical journey when she first picked up a pair of drumsticks at the age of nine. She holds a B.S. in Commercial Music and actively works as a professional drummer, music director, artist manager, and as an instructor in drums, guitar, keyboard, and vocals. An Edmond native, she learned to read and play music as a percussionist in school, playing on the Edmond Santa Fe HS drumline. Sarah has spent five seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder Drummers as the snare drum section lead, plays for Life Church, and has toured in Country/Rock, Hip-Hop, and Indie/Punk bands. Her first concert was Toby Mac & Chris Tomlin, and her work as a songwriter and producer is influenced by various Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, and Rock artists. When she’s not playing or teaching music, she’s watching music business webinars, studying her favorite songwriters, or playing The Sims. Her style of leadership in music emphasizes the art of performing, inspired by the motto of Percussion Director Scott Johnson, “If you’re not having fun, you’re doing it wrong.”
